The “Chinese Bridge” Confucius Institute/Classroom Summer Camp in China at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics was successfully held in July 2025. Strongly supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, the program brought together 48 high school and university students selected jointly by the Confucius Classroom at the Budějovice Business School in České Budějovice, the Confucius Institute at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb in Croatia.

Chinese teacher Meng at the Confucius Classroom in České Budějovice, led 10 Czech middle school students to attend a summer camp in China.Nine of the Czech students were visiting China for the first time, and they were very excited.

During the fourteen-day trip, the students visited three cities in China: Beijing, Xi’an, and Shanghai. They not only learned Chinese from their teachers but also toured world-renowned cultural heritage sites like the Forbidden City in Beijing and the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, as well as modern landmarks like the Bird’s Nest and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Furthermore, with the coordination of the Qingpu District Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, they made a special trip to the Beidou Industrial Technology Innovation Base to exchange ideas and learn with local teachers.
